What currency are the prices in?
All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollar currency (CAD).
Where is Infrequency Arts physically located?
Infrequency Arts is an online art gallery based in Victoria, BC, Canada. We respectfully acknowledge that we are located on the unceded traditional territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən People (Songhees and Esquimalt Nations).
Who is Infrequency Arts?
Infrequency was established in 2001 by Canadian artists Jamie Drouin and Lance Austin Olsen to offer our extensive catalogue of visual and sound-based artworks direct from our studios.
Do you accept submissions from artists?
We exclusively represent the works of Lance Austin Olsen, Jamie Drouin, and invited collaborating artists. We are not seeking submissions.
Can you help me select the right artworks?
We can definitely help you with that! Please email us to discuss options.
Where do you ship to?
Artworks under 25 inches can be shipped to the following locations: Canada, United States, Europe (select), Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan*.
Large-scale artworks over 25 inches can only be shipped to locations within Canada and US.
What shipping method is offered?
We offer Canada Post airmail parcel shipping and selection of services such as tracking and parcel insurance. Note that by selecting a shipping option without tracking and/or insurance the buyer assumes all responsibility for loss or damage of parcel.
How much does shipping cost?
Available shipping options and prices are quoted based on your location. Please contact us for more details.
How long will shipping take?
Unless otherwise noted on the individual item page, please allow up to 7 days for your order to be processed and securely packaged before hand-off to Canada Post. Since the exact delivery period varies based on destination, we encourage you to visit the Canada Post website to view their estimated service times to your region. Packages can sometimes take longer to be delivered, especially during holiday seasons.
If you selected a shipping method with tracking, we will email you with a tracking number to follow your shipment once available.
How is the artwork packaged?
Most artwork will be flat-packed between multiple layers of corrugated cardboard. Portfolios and thicker works will be wrapped in bubblewrap and placed inside a corrugated cardboard box.
Large-scale artworks (over 20 inches) will be safely rolled and packaged in a sturdy mailing tube.
Will I pay import taxes & duties?
Any additional import fees, taxes, or duties are the sole responsibility of the customer. The government of the country where your order is delivered determines custom fees. The declared value on the parcel will be the total of your purchase, minus shipping.
Do I need to sign for the delivery?
if you selected a shipping method with tracking, yes, a proof-of-delivery signature is typically required.

TERMS OF USE AND SALE
These terms apply to all purchases placed by you, and all agreements concluded between us in relation to the artworks and services offered on this website (infrequency.org). By accepting our terms and conditions you accept the following principles.
Payment
Payment options – We accept payment processed by WooCommerce + Stripe which allows payments with major credit cards and Apple Pay. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
Prices
Our prices for all products and shipping are in Canadian dollars. WooCommerce + Stripe will process your purchase amount in that currency. Final exchange rate amount is dependent upon your payment method, bank rates, and daily exchange rates.
Shipping
Any claims due to damage or loss of insured parcels is the sole responsibility of Canada Post in coordination with the buyer.
Any additional import fees, taxes, or duties are the sole responsibility of the customer. The government of the country where your order is delivered determines custom fees. The declared value on the parcel will be the total of your purchase, minus shipping.
Lost or Damaged Parcels
In the event that you suspect your insured parcel is lost in transit, or the tracking indicates delivered but you still have not received it at your address, contact your local postal courier. If they confirm the parcel is lost, please contact us immediately and we will submit this issue to Canada Post to investigate further.
If your purchase arrives damaged, contact us immediately with a photo of the damage. We will initiate a claim with Canada Post, and let you know the next steps.
All tracking and parcel insurance claims are the sole responsibility of Canada Post.
Parcels shipped without tracking and/or insurance are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
Returns & Exchanges
All sales are final and we do not offer returns or exchanges. You are encouraged to contact us with any questions in advance, and we’ll help you any way we can to best inform your artwork purchase.
Product Descriptions
We attempt to describe our products offered as accurately as possible. However, handmade artwork editions will have subtle variations. As such, we do not warrant that product descriptions or photos on the website are 100% accurate or error-free.
Supply
All unique artworks and editions are available while supply lasts. Validation of the availability of an artwork can occur only once the payment is verified and completed. Once you have completed your order, you will receive a confirmation email listing the ordered items.
Cart or Checkout Errors
Each order placed is checked for errors before the payment is processed. This allows us to ensure that the correct postage or shipping regions are taken into account in your order, and we will email you if any issues arise.
Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel orders due to lack of supply, or shipping unavailability to your location. We also reserve the right to cancel orders due to verbal abuse, or suspicious actions by the customer.
Disclaimer
We are not liable for any financial damages (including but not limited to the cost of any replacement purchase) that may occur because of non-timely arrival or any lack of availability or conformity of the product.
Modification And Severability
We reserve the right to make changes to our website, to our prices and edition when unsold, our policies, Terms of Use and Sale at any time and in our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review our policies, terms and conditions each time you visit the website. Your continued use of the website after we make any such changes constitutes your binding acceptance of those changes. If any of the terms or conditions herein shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that term or condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining term or condition.
Intellectual Property
All materials, including but not limited to images, texts, logos, photographs and any and all information of any kind in any form (the “Materials”) incorporated into, published or otherwise exhibited on this website are protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights and are owned and controlled by Infrequency Arts and the respective artists. Any copying, reproducing, republishing, uploading, posting, modifying or transmission or distribution of any Materials is strictly prohibited and will be considered a violation of Infrequency Art’s intellectual property rights and could result in legal liability and/or criminal sanction.
Infrequency Arts and its collaborating artists are the sole owners of the photographs and images presented on infrequency.org. The artists retain all copyright to the photograph i.e. the rights to produce, reproduce, present at a public exhibition, communicate the work to the public by telecommunication, and adapt the photograph.
Anyone wishing to use any of these files or images for commercial use, publication, or any purpose other than personal decorative or collecting use must request and receive prior permission. All requests to reproduce works of art from Infrequency Arts should be made by email.
