Jamie Drouin

With Fusiform, Jamie Drouin presents us with eight new compositions for Buchla synthesizer and magnetic tape, in which forms are revealed through the speeding up, and slowing down of recorded layers.

These works occupy a space between mid-20th Century electronic studio experimentation, and soundtracks to imaginary science documentaries, while still closely tied with Drouin’s twenty year interest in highlighting the nuanced physicality of electrically generated sound.
